Reduce Car Damage Due to Heat

The heat from the summer sun can damage your vehicle. The inside will actually be hotter than the outside after sitting in the sun because the heat builds up. This will damage your electronics and leather seats. You can block the sun light with tinted windows, portable suction cup blinds, and/or reflective dash screens. Natural shade can also be used to keep your parked vehicle cool. Items can be protected from the sun by being placed in the trunk or glove box. Cloth interior does not heat up as fast as leather. Avoid cracks and allow the leather to stretch better by applying saddle wax before and after the summer season. Genuine leather cracks more than artificial leather when it is hot out. You could also use sun protectant lubricants on the back of the interior vehicle, dashboard, rubber bumper, and interior doors.
